Help .. Vuze and Norton 2015
#1
HELP!!!!
Can anyone me .. I have just installed Norton 2015 and now i am unable to download anything.

I get Errors lik "Failed to establish listen on port 6905" and "Error:socket selector open() 10 times" it states they are likely to be firewalled.

I have tried to disable the firewall and try again but it stillcomes up with the errors.
Can anyone advise on how i can get round this and accept downloads. i currently have 117 listed saying all the same thing.

I did a test and this was the result.

Change to a better port for a start . . . choose something in the 50,000 - 60,000 range . . . if you need help doing that check out:

http://forum.vuze.com/Thread-New-Problem...ter-Update  I described the process in a post there!

I do not know if that will work but it might . . . either way that is the recommend port range.

If that does not work you will probably have to add an exception in Norton for Vuze . . . I have not used a Norton product in over 12 years so I can not help you there . . . but you should be able to google that and find an answer very easily.

Good Luck!

Installed what from Norton?  Anti-virus?  firewall?

It does "sound" like a firewall problem.

and I agree with GaryE on the port. You can go to as high as 65000
