Exclamation Please fix bug in new forum registration
Posted by: BanditQuest - 08-02-2014, 07:13 AM - Forum: Community Open Support - Replies (5)

Dear Admin

I was unable to get my initial  "random" password  from the new forum
OR
Use the "forgot password" email option

This third attempt succeeded but who knows how many people can't tell you they have a problem.
The email header I got at yahoo.com looked like this:

Quote:Subject: Your Password for Vuze Forums
X-PHP-Originating-Script: 2000:php.php
From: "Vuze Forums" <>
That would explain why hotmail.com /outlook.com  did not deliver it "<>" is not a valid header so it never gets to my inbox.
OR
Are you blocking @hotmail.com /@outlook.com ?

Will you put a contact email somewhere so people can contact you when there is a registration issue

This was really frustrating. Sent you a private email with extra info.

Thanks
Scott

  Magnet link downloads won't work
Posted by: 243ms - 07-31-2014, 08:13 PM - Forum: Community Open Support - Replies (14)

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was able to the site I have always downloaded from, right clicked on the magnet link and then pasted it into Vuze for it to get the files, etc. Recently however, regardless of what magnet link I attempt to copy and paste into Vuze, Vuze immediately kicks the torrent out and throws an error. I haven't changed any of my settings so WHAT has happened?? Any insight would be great!

  video file conversion
Posted by: ggilbody - 07-31-2014, 07:57 PM - Forum: Community Open Support - Replies (1)

I want to burn an mp4 video file, 750 MB. When Vuze converts, it ends up being 2,5 GB. Why does Vuze make it larger and is there any way to prevent this? I'd like to put more than 1 movie on a disk.

  Vuze HD Player Glitch
Posted by: Lexa695 - 07-30-2014, 07:17 AM - Forum: Community Open Support - No Replies

When I watch a show using the HD player that came with Vuze, the video drops out about every 15 or 20 minutes. This doesn't happen with VLC Player.

3 days ago I loved Vuze. I sent my computor to the shop to get fixed. They had to wipe and reboot it. I have now re installed Vuse only to find that a large number of my favourite sites are not there. I thought they were the standard sites that Vuze provided so I did not take note of them. How do I get them back.

Question Internet connection drops.
Posted by: iMagic - 07-28-2014, 06:09 PM - Forum: Community Open Support - Replies (2)

Sorry, this may take a bit.  After my router/modem was changed, my internet connection would drop a few minutes after startup.  I decided to use another hard drive to boot up (one which I last used for that purpose 3 years ago).  Hooray, the connection was stable, so I decided to go steady with that drive.  When I added Vuze, the connection problem recurred.  I stopped running Vuze at startup and all was okay. I went back to the original drive and disabled Vuze and connection problem gone.  While Vuze would seem to be the culprit, I suspect it is some router setting.  I don't know routers well enough to even guess at which setting(s) are involved or even if it is a router issue.  I am on a Mac running OS X 10.6.8 and it is an Arris router/modem.

Enlightenment sought!

  Moving Files
Posted by: exit370 - 07-27-2014, 08:13 AM - Forum: Community Open Support - Replies (2)

Hello All,

I think I may have found a problem with Vuze 5.3 when moving files. I was d/ling a bunch of small files, when I noticed that my space on my partition was getting low. I decided to move some files to save space. The first problem is that although the moved were moved to the new location, some files didn't move but were copied instead. I checked both directories to ensure that the files moved to the new directory and that the old directory was empty and allocated space on that old drive. As I said, some were moved and others were copied. The second problem was that although Vuze showed the new location on the files Path, the Percent column showed 0% and Vuze must think that the files need to be d/led again. The Start/Stop button doesn't click Stop and Vuze begins to d/l the moved files again. I was able to recreate this problem on another group of files, so I'm pretty sure you guys can too. So, I see 3 problems: 1- The Start/Stop button should change to Stop after a d/l for a file is completed. 2- No matter if the file has been d/led, Vuze will begin to d/l again if the Percent Done shows less that 100% and the Start button is in the Start position. 3- Although files have been moved, some still remain in the original location. I hope I have given enugh detail to for yopu to understand the problem and and replicate so that the issues may be fixed in a future version.
Thanks to all.

Exclamation Many seeders, low down speed
Posted by: lol - 07-27-2014, 07:08 AM - Forum: Community Open Support - No Replies

Hello Vuze users,

I am new to using Vuze having switched over from uTorrent and do not know if there are any specific differences in the programs as well as being very well established in the torrent field. Anywho, currently I am downloading multiple torrents (not at the same time) with lots of seeders ranging from 100-300 with hardly any leechers at all but still getting low download speeds if not, extreme fluctuations and sometimes having it completely die out.  However, I think there is a problem with my upload speed? In the GENERAL tab of the torrent it displays that I have uploaded 0 b and is uploading at 0b/s. Another thing I do not get is that for other torrents that had relatively lower seeders, I was downloading at speeds of 1-3 mb/s but with these new torrents barely ranging from 200-500 kb/s. I do believe that the data has not been spoofed to attract more searches as the site is based on people who dedicate their time to power seeding for every other torrent user. If there is any advice to be given or things that are a must know please do let me know.

Thanks in advanced!
