Full Version: too many update requests

Practically every day I receive update notices with a request to close and reopen Vuze. Why so frequently?  They are bothersome:  if I ignore them, they keep coming up, If I don't , new requests follow in short order. They are annoying and to me unnecessary. I reached the point where I am tempted to switch to another Torrent engine. Is there perhaps a glitch in the Vuze system?

How many torrents are you running?  You might be running out of memory?

Thanks for your reply
I run torrents only occasionally now . This one was one of the few in  in a few weeks. I have run a much higher volume of torrents in the past, but I never had this problem. It must be at your end.

At my end????

You must have me confused with someone else.  I assure you your problem has nothing to do with anything I have done to the version of Vuze I run on my computer because that is the only "end" I have.  LOL

Do you have a bunch of plugins?  That is the only thing I can think of that would require a bunch of updates.  I run about 15 - 20 plugins and I at most get about 5 updates a month . . . most months I get 1 or none.

Or maybe there is a particular plugin that gets constantly updated???

Sorry, by the website title ( forum.vuze.com) I thought I was dealing directly with the Vuze software developers! I certainly did not mean to imply that you were personally part of the problem. It wouldn't make sense, would it? I apologize for the quid pro quo ! The question remains, though!
