= Win 8.1 on MSI GP70
= Vuze Java 1.6.0_45
 Sun Microsystems Inc.
SWT v4508, win32
Windows 8 v6.2, amd64
V5.6.1.2/4 az3
= IBVPN VPN service (always connected and bound to adpater when torrenting)
= Usually running hardwired into TrendNet R10000G router hanging on a Zoom 5341J
= Cox cable at 60mbps down/8 mbps up

Browsing through ipconfig /all reports 10 adapters and connections.  Network Connections reports 6 adapters (Bluetooth, Ethernet, Local (TAP), 2@VMware adpaters (disabled) and Wireless (Not connected). In Vuze:Tools:Options:Connection:Advanced Network Settings there are over 20 names for ethernet and network "adapters" .

First, is this normal (I don't remember that many when I first began using Vuze)? Second, should it bother me that there are so many? Lastly, can/should I delete the ones other than those I know I'm using?

Next, when I bind Vuze to an adapter (works fine) sometimes I have to bind to eth8 and sometimes I have to bind to eth17.  Why does this change? Is it important? Can I prevent it?
