Hello All,

Im relatively new to torrenting and completly new to vuze. I have a few folders with files I renamed to make them more asthetic looking in folders. However now I am unaware of how too get them seeding again in vuze. I am using latest version of vuze.

After I download the torrent file, and stop the download, what next? Also is there a way to get it too recognize all of the files within a folder that are renamed since I have several folders with dozens of files in each one?

Thank you,
Animalia

If you did the renaming in Vuze, no problem. Just right-click Queue or force-start them.

If you did the renaming outside Vuze you'll have to backtrack first which can be a pain.

Notice I'm a noob too so take it for what it's worth.

If you haven't removed the torrent entry form your Vuze library, there is no need to download the torrent again.

Double-click or right-click the torrent and select "show details".  When the torrent details appear, click the "Files" tab to show the files.

[ TIP = Order the files by name (click the "name header") so that they appear in an order that is logical. i.e. if a TV series, episode1, the ep2 and so on ]

Highlite all the files and right-click,  then select "rename or retarget"  That will launch a file-browsing window.

Navigate to the folder where the files are located (save folder) and click the files one-at-a-time in the same order as they now appear in the "files" tab.
When you do this, each time you click a file, that file window will close and almost instantly re-open again.
After you click (retarget) the last file, the window will close and not open again.

Next, go back to the torrent window, right-click the torrent  and do a "manual recheck" of the torrent pieces.  If the retarget procedure was done properly, the torrent will show as finished, or indicate a % done.  If no error message is shown, just start the torrent again.

N.B.  next time you re-name files/folders, use the rename feature in the Vuze context menu.  This will alleviate the need to retarget.
