HELP !

Sando buz maruchi
hello Sando, you can call me ekky.
One thing first, If you do not want to communicate through the forum, you will have to enable private messaging. I will not email.
So, you got a problem. Well first thing is, I do know a bit about Vuze, but I'm a Wndows person and I've never laid hands on a Mac.  Don't have anything against them, just been with Windows from day 1.  I will certainly try to help you as much as I am able but when it comes to Macs, the guy you really need to buddy-up to is a member by the nic of GaryE who is a Mac Officianado!   Unfortunately, Gary is not around for a while. Seems he's on a work trip somewhere in the world and I don't know when he'll stick his hand up and tell us he's home.  I know that doesn't help you right now but I've advised you about GaryE for future reference as far as Macs are concerned.

From your post, am I to understand that you can't get Vuze to load in your MacBook unless you re-boot, or does it just not load at all/ or does load and present a particular problem
Did it appear to install OK?
Did you have Java installed on your laptop?
IF not, did you notice if Vuze installed Java during the Vuze install process?  It should have, if Java wasn't previously on your 'puter.
AS we haven't communicated about your problem before, I might ask questions about things that you done correctly and know inside-ou and back-to-front, so don't get upset if I ask questions you think are not warranted.
The more we communicate, the more I get to know about your set-up.
If you are unsure about Java, have a look in your program list and see if it's installed and whether it's a 32bit or 64bit version.  Also with Vuze, is it 32 or 64 bit version?
If Java is installed, you might try unstalling both Vuze and Java and downloading the latest Java and re-installing it if you are unsure about whether it was or was not.
If you are using Vuze64, obviously you must have Java64 bit installed as well (before you install Vuze) and the same for the 32bit.  You can have both the 32bit and the 64bit of java installed, but you can only have one version of Vuze. Might as well install the 64bit if you choose to do a complete unistall & re-install of Java & Vuze.
I'll try to get back to this forum in the next 12-18 hours.

Ekky...Hello !

I will look into the info you posted and thank you for your help.
I am older and relativly new to the computer world (LoL)...coming soon !
I do not have internet at home yet,so I go to a friend's and won't be online every day 24/7.
I will communicate as often as possible and look to enable private messaging and I do'nt mind
going thru the forum...any reasons why I should ?

Back soon,
SBM
hey sando,
sorry, been busy.  personal messgae is ok, but forum is better as there is the probability of having more people around to help and perhaps having experienced the EXACT same probelm  so will know the solution straight away.  Don't worry about being "older".  I'm also running out of time and have self-educated about pc's over the last 15yrs.  It is always evolving and there's always something new to learn and it doesn't help when these weary memory banks I call a brain, do not respond as I wish they would.

Anyway, there are lots of forums around the internet that give help and lots of vey knowledgable people.  Just need to remember that they can't see your computer and will rely on you to give as much information about your type and version number of your Operating System, the applications (programs) you are having a problem with or need tuition in, and if it is a problem, describing as fully as you can, what happens and under what circumstances the problem occurs.  Eventually, as you learn more, you will understand new situations with more ease and solutions will come more readily.
One piece of advice for those just starting out is; if you make changes to your settings in the operating system or the applications, do one at a time and use the pc for a while. If you change multiple settings in at the same time and things go wrong, it becomes confusing as to what change you made is causing the problem.

back soon.
Well I am back.  I was actually on vacation.  LOL

I too strongly recommend communicating in the forums.  I do agree with the things ekky said but also if someone else ever has the same question(s) and you ask in the forums the answer is there for the next person to see . . . which is usually a good thing.

Having said that . . . how many torrents are you running in Vuze?

Which MacBook Air (what processor)?
What version of Mac OS X are you running?
What version of Vuze are you running?
How much physical memory do you have in your MacBook Air?

That is all I can think of right now.  LOL

If you do not know how to find some of that information let me/us know and I (or someone) will tell you how to find the requested information.
