Juist downloaded and installed the latest version of Vuze and I'm locked out now by the following message.
No JVM could be found on your system.
Please define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME to point to an installed 64bit JDK orJRE.
I have windows 8 with the latest version of Java 8.40 installed.
How or what do I need to reconfigure to get it working again?
Cheers Psyclone
If you haven't solved the problem yet, can you go to the command prompt and type:
java -version
and post the results here?
Hi there, i too have just downloaded and installed the latest version of Vuze and I'm locked out now by the following message.
No JVM could be found on your system.
Please define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME to point to an installed 64bit JDK orJRE.
I have windows 7 with the latest version of Java 8.40 installed. I also tried System Restore to go back to previous version, but still refuses to open.
How or what do I need to reconfigure to get it working again?

Hey I had the same problem....win7 64 bit....update gave me the same error.....been using vuze for years and I literally had a OH CRAP moment when the error popped up...so I feel your pain.... However mine is up and running now.....
Step 1: uninstall Vuze
Step 2: go get latest Java ( for your OS version)
Step 3: download latest Vuze
Step 4: Relax, all is good now.
Glad someone got it working :)
Installing Vuze over Vuze should also fix the problem. We found an issue (with the help of these forum posts) where Vuze lost Java. Fortunately, none of your data or settings are lost.. just maybe a few beats of your heart :P

Same problem here! The link (installing 64-bit Java) solved it.
But surely there must be a problem with this Vuze update when obviously multiple persons get the same error after clicking Yes on a simple "Do you want to update" popup. That should just update semlessly.
Yes, there was a problem, which is why I said "

The problem has been fixed for future people, but for the people who already lost their links to Java, a re-install is required.
