Full Version: changing directory all my existing .torrent and data files/folders are in

I know that when I installed Vuze I selected my (identical) directory for all my Vuze .torrent and data files/folders (I like them in the same directory) at:

Options|Files|Torrents|Save Directory
Options|Files|Default directory

I'd like to change the directory.  But when I tried that Vuze couldn't find any of the moved files despite my changing those settings fields.

Selecting row(s) then Right-click|Advanced|Move torrent file didn't achieve my goal.

Is there a way to do what I want without removing/re-loading all my (about 700) torrents?
Since Spiggot sacked their main developer, these forums seem to rely on the goodwill of ONLY other users.  I suggest you UPGRADE to BiglyBT and enjoy what is essentially the same client with more features and in constant development by one of the original Azureus developers.  Plus, there are dedicated support chat channels built into the client and during the install process, you can easily migrate all of your Vuze/Azureus settings and torrents to the BiglyBT client.
Further to the above, I run over 3,000 torrents, so don't worry, the client will handle your 700 with ease and I had no problems with the migration of settings and torrents. It was all seamless. BBT looks the same as Vuze and it is legal because they (BBT, Vuze, Bit-Tyrant, OneSwarm) are all based on Azureus under a GPL License.
Thank you very much for your reply (and your goodwill!), ekstasee!

Oh, I upgraded to BiglyBT promptly when it started.  (And yes, it was the easiest migration ever, absolutely seamless and transparent.  And yes, identical to Vuze at least at first.)

However, since they were so new (and since the clients are identical), for Support they (somewhere, I forget where) recommend these forums.  I do wish they'd make their own (parg's contributions here were central).

I've never tried the clients' chat functionality; are there really a big enough population in realtime to get the kind of help someone like me (I've been using this client for decades) would seek?

Even if so, I like forum support.  I see there's now https://github.com/BiglySoftware/BiglyBT/issues ; is that where I should seek help now instead of here?
