cant get templates to work

been using vuze for many years and today i had to wipe my computer.   reinstalling vuze i no longer get the searches i used to from other torrent site such as kickass.  ive never had to install templates before and found links to add them but after adding and re-searching i do not get any results from those sites and it remains greyed in my search.  not sure what i am doing wrong to get searches to work from those other sites.
