I have been a Vuze user for years and it is by far the best client I have ever used but starting a week or so ago torrents will not connect and no download ever starts. n
I don't use it very often but it always works and is fast but last Monday I tried to download 2 tv shows but the torrents would not start. They did a week earlier worked normally. I am connected using my VPN as normal and it just will not connect. My VPN recently has a new version as does Vuze but I changed no settings in either. I have since installed uTorrent and it does connect but the speed is horribly slow.
Any ideas as to what is going on and how to fix it?
Thanks

Are you using a VPN or a SOCKS server? A VPN typically presents itself as a separate network interface on your computer when connected whereas a SOCKS server requires you to configure Vuze to connect via it (under Tools->Options->Connection->Proxy).
If you are getting 'socks connection refused' then you have a SOCKS server configured and there is something wrong with it

Hello,
I also have been using Vuze for years, and in the midle of downloading it stopped all of a sudden. It was a download from a regular uploader, so that was not the problem. Vuze says that there is no connection. Can you please help me with this, because i really don't want to use anything other than Vuze. I have been using it for 5 years and I never had a problem before.
Thank You
Angela

If you are using a VPN then check that you haven't told Vuze to use the wrong interface (or perhaps the VPN interfaces changed):

If you aren't using a VPN then there's

that might help.

Vuze suddenly stooped working for me as well.
I have been using Vuze for several months via ExpressVPN without any problems whatsoever, so I upgraded to Vuze Plus. Then shortly thereafter everything stopped downloading, with the Tracker Status for every item showing either "Connection Error (No data received from tracker)" or "OK (DHT backup only". There are now red faces for every item in the download queue, whereas before they were all green.
Can anyone plase advise why Vuze was working beautifully until yesterday, then suddenly stopped? Nothing has changed on my end. I read through previous postings where other people have expressed similar problems, however I haven't been able to see any solutions. I have uninstalled and re-installed Vuze several times, to no avail. I don't know what other action I can take to fix the issue. Don't understand why Vuze would suddenly stop working.
It makes no difference if I use the VPN or not.
I use Vuze only on a Mac Desktop, OS 10.8.5. Latest Vuze 5.6.2.
I posted this thread on the Community Open Pages and forum a few weeks ago but no one has replied with any possible solutions. I would appreciate any assistance anyone can offer, as I can't understand why Vuze has suddenly stopped working.

Lo and Behold - after several weeks of not being able to download anything, and trying every 2 days, Vuze suddenly started working again, as mysteriously as it suddenly stopped! I did absolutely nothing on my end - it just started working again! Strange.

Same here.... frustrating as I have used Vuze for years and never an issue .
I have only been able to find answers such as change my port, however that is all they ssay.
Any ideas how to change ones port :(
Failed to download is all I keep running into.
I have read a few responses in here and they ask about VPN's, but why if we have not changed anything are we being asked if we are, when clearly everyone is having the same issue and have not changed a single setting??
So frustrating.

It has something to do with the advanced network settings, instead of messing with it for too long trying to get it right I just uninstalled Vuze then made sure to delete the entire Azureus (Vuze's predecessor) folder at c:\users\appdata\roaming\azureus, then reinstalled Vuze and it worked fine. Make sure before you reinstall to have your network settings setup how they will be while torrenting, in my case, I made sure to have my PDAnet Connection on (different from my reg. connection) and Cyberghost VPN active. When Vuze re-installs it will recognize all of this adjust it's settings accordingly.

Yes, I seek help, too.
I get only "1 user", so of course nothing downloads. There's a yellow triangular alert in the lower right corner that says: "WARNING. Bind IPs not resolved: utun0[0], See Tools->Options->Connection->Advanced Network Settings"
But no instructions on how to "resolve" the issue.
One user! I used get 330K to 750K users.
I'd really like to get back into the Vuze saddle.
Thanks in advance for any resolutions...

When I open Vuze, it says that there are "1 user" or "3 users" rather than the 300,000-600,000 I usually get. If I try to download a torrent and check availability, none of the trackers besides Vuze and ISP show any results. A torrent that lists 1000 seeds and 1000 peers comes up at zero. I tried the fix of changing maximum trackers from 0 to a number and that didn't work. I have been using ExpressVPN for a while but never had any trouble since adding it, so I don't believe it's my VPN. This has been going on for about five days. I see that other users are having the same problem but have found no solution. My subscriptions update, but if I try to download anything, it's 0 and 0. Should I uninstall and reinstall Vuze? I'm a pretty basic-level without a lot of technical knowledge, and have never really needed it. I can follow instructions on making fixes but have yet to see one that works. i'm starting to consider switching to another client because Vuze is doing me no good. Please help!
