Vuze crashes on load of magnet link

Recently I updated Vuze to version 5.4.0.0.
I'm running this on an older Powermac G5 (my home media server) with Java version: 1.5.0_30

Everytime I click a magnet link Vuze crashes and this error shows up in console:
"Could not find libOSXAccess_10.5.jnilib; java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /Applications/Vuze.app/Contents/java/app/dll/libOSXAccess10.5.jnilib: no matching architecture in universal wrapper"

On reinstallation of Vuze, i got this error:

ps. Please don't suggest transmission. Although I like how lightweight the application is, I require socks5 proxy support on a OSX 10.5.8 machine and Transmission does not support this.

hmm, if you got that message at the very end of the isntaller, it stills hould have installed ok, just never launched it.  You should have a Vuze.app in Applications to run.

I'm not sure if we can do much about the magnet link issue.  Might be best to just paste the magnet URI into Vuze, and set your browser to not auto-open Vuze on magnet links (if that's what's triggering the crash)

Thanks Aaron,

I did get the app to install and I'm able to open and run the application. The issue isn't technically with the magnet link per say. It's any attempt at initiating a download and Vuze crashes.

A couple times while troubleshooting I was able to get it to download a file immediately after i restored preferences but the next time I try to download something it reverts back to the bad habbit of crashing while throwing this error:

Which OS version are you running on your G5?

I am less than certain but there might be some kind of incompatibility issue you are running into.

It's Leopard 10.5.8 the with the old AMD chipset (the cpu that isn't compatible with new versions of OSX and stopped receiving java updates from apple.) I would think more people would be complain if it was a compatibility issue.

Well 10.5.8 is what . . . 4 years old now?  LOL Nope 5 years old.

I am just saying it is a possibility.  It is a pretty old OS which is not being used much any more.  LOL

It would also not be surprising if of the few people who are still using 10.5.8 that only a small percentage of them are on AMD G5's.  Those are what . . . about 10 - 12 years old or so?

Again I do not know what is going on . . . but an incompatibility with a combination of old java, old hardware, and old OS seems likely to me.

It's definitely possible but there's actually a decent sized community based on keeping these old pieces of junk running. To my knowledge most use Vuze or Transmission. I've heard there's been luck with uTorrent also but none have complained of this issue.
