Vuze acting as a Virus

I just installed the new Vuze and and:
[ 1] Mozilla/Firefox reported my home page was untrusted. After accepting responsiblity for accessing my home page, the page was displayed incorrectly, several links were shown as untrusted, and my e-mail account was shown as untrusted.
[ 2] Mozilla/Firefox: http://www.google.com had the same issues as [1] but http://www.nytimes.com appeared without issue.
[ 3] IE11 showed no issues except for adds for crotchless panties.
[ 4] Vuze was uninstalled.After the uninstall process I noticed and aborted a residual Vuze task. Issues [1], [2], and [3] persisted.
[ 5] I restarted my computer.
[ 6] Mozilla/Firefox reported that a proxy server was disabling access to my home site.
[ 7] IE11 showed no issue.
[ 8] Mozilla/Firefox had issues connecting to Vuze.com.
[ 9] IE11: clicking on Community Forum -> subscribe returned a search page (as in, search vuze)
[10] and then it all went away, including adds for crotchless panties.

Is Vuze in any way responsible for this? Why do I need crotchless panties?

Some more information. I run a 2-disk system. Today I booted on my second disk, updated all files except Vuze and ran Mozilla. No issue. All sites are available.

Yesterday I nosed around and found that Vuze had set itself up as bypassing front-end firewall protection. Don't know why but its off now.

Since the only system affecting by Mozilla's lack of trust (message below) is the one where I updated Vuze, I think Vuze has damaged my system and is acting as a virus. Does anyone know how to correct this. I'd much rather use Mozilla than IE.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

After, what, two days I found the culprit. Vuze installs a program called "Genius Box". This is an adware virus. It attaches to all web browsers and when the user enters a site were ads are appropriate, will present ads. Mozilla checks for site authenticity and does not enter a site with the site certificate is not available. Well, Genius Box is does not have a legitimate certificate (it's a virus remember). Everytime that Mozilla executes, Genius Box executes to determine whether ads are appropriate. And everytime that Genius Box executes Mozilla rejects its certificate.

The moral of the story, Vuze is intentionally inserting malware into each installation.
