Vuze Plus DVD Issue

Hi Forum Folks,

I cannot seem to burn to DVD a number of files. I downloaded a MKV file and Vuze Plus did not like that so I changed the extension to .avi but could not get file to burn to DVD.
So now I have downloaded a file of the movie "The Good Guys" which is a .avi file but cannot burn - I get the message:
DVD Burn encountered a error. None of the items added to this DVD are valid videos. But I can play this on computer using VLC.
Can anyone help me? Maybe I should use DVD Creator or ImageBurn, etc?

It seems or I'm assuming you're choosing to burn a "Movie file" in a dvd...etc When using any DVD/Bluray Burner Software and select to burn a Movie (DVD/Bluray) they must be "Authorized", what it is; when renting or purchase a Movie (DVD/Blu Ray) and start to play you will see the background (picture or few sec play) and options to select language, subtitle, extras..etc   To create that in a DVD/Bluray it is to Authorize all the content, orginize them so the DVD/Bluray Player will be able to read it...etc  Solution unless the file you have is an .iso or Movie file then do NOT select in the Burner Software "Movie" choose to Burn a "Data File" it doesn't matter if it is .avi or mkv it will work, also if the file it is 640p or less then use a DVD but if the file is HD (720p and up) do not use DVD disk use a Bluray Disk both handle bitrate differently... Hope this helps ;)

OK But I was able to burn avi and mp4 files to a DVD+R Disc that I had downloaded in the past using Vuze Plus
So what changed?

I wanted to clarify. I used Vuze DVD Burn in the past and this software converted files and burned to DVD+R Disc. So why can I not do the same now?

I'm having my own unique problems burning cause everytime I click burn it says vuze needs to install necessary plugin to burn playable dvds from your videos??? how do I fix this issue that has come out of left field


also another pop up keeps saying license handler failed to create license ?

can anyone help me please???

Sounds like something is blocking Vuze's access to the license server

I have seen that faq but skimmed through it cuz its a lot of info and I need to comb thru it for my specific issue,

all I know is after I deleted out the proxy like u said to do I have been able to burn dvds again for some reason,do you know why???

I used the proxy for security as well as rc4, and I would still like to use a proxy from freeproxylist.com but is there a expiration time on these proxies?

No, it does not help. As I mentioned before - I used Vuze Plus "DVD Burn" many times in the past to create  DVD's from .avi files that would play on a standalone DVD Player. DVD Burn would prepare, encode, author and finalize and the end result was a playable DVD of a film as i just mentioned. I never had this error screen pop up. Thanks Vuze! You changed something in this software - probably when I updated to latest version.
