Vuze OS X crash after about an hour, can't restart, must reboot every time

Hi everybody,
I'm running Yosemite, and very recently updated Vuze. Since then, after about 45-60 minutes after starting it, my connection slows down to nothing, and ten minutes later, Vuze is completely frozen. If I force-quit the program, I can then not restart it anomore. Any restart never opens the window, not even the process gets displayed in the activity-monitor (task manager). The only way to start Vuze again is after a system-wide restart. This after every hour of downloading, which means I can basically not use the program anymore.

I have not changed anything else since updating Vuze (can't tell you the version number, as it is frozen again, so I can't look, but it is the version that is most current today).

I would love to keep using the software. Any tips would be appreciated.
Regards,
SAM.

Did you manually change the amount of memory Vuze is using by editing a configuration file?

If so you have to do that each and every time you update Vuze because that configuration file gets overwritten when Vuze is upgraded.

I had a similar problem once and it took me quite a while to figure that out.  LOL
