Vuze Not responding
#1
Hi,
Can some please help me out. I have a Dell, windows 8, 64 bit.
Vuze was working perfectly till one few weeks ago when I tried syncing my iphone with cloud and since the vuze has gone into this not responding state. I have uninstalled and installed three times, no luck. On google I can not find a download link for a 64 bit they are all 32bit! I have updated my java! I do not know what else to do to try getting it working again. Everytime I click something vuze stops responding. I tried downloading utorrent, bit torrrent. These two programs do they same thing they also do not respond. The links for those are also for 32bit and not 64 bit. If anyone knows what the problem could be can you please share it with me or send me the link for the 64 bit downlaod from a trusted source. I have also checked my firewall settings and vuze is not being blocked!

Thanking in advance.

So all of your torrent clients do not respond?  You have tried Vuze, uTorrent, and bitTorrent.

That seems to be something with you computer and or ISP.

Can you clarify what you mean by not responding?

Do you mean you just can not upload or download?

Or do you mean that software is locked up/not responding?

Or what?

Yes I tried Vuze, Utorrent and bit torrent, they all acting in the same way.
I Open Vuze and I had a few downloads in queue that I had stopped so after opeing vuze I want to click one a download queued to continue downloading and the min i click on it, its stops repsonding as in it freezes and the whole program like blurs out and it takes a very long time for it to come out of that state and when it does and if i just click anywhere on the screen/ program like settings/options it stops responding again.
I was thinking of doing a system restore or just restoring to factoring settings then try to download and install Vuze again.
Wouldnt it be the fact that the download links i find are for 32 bit and I need vuze for 64bit?

To explain the not responding state in another way is when I click in anything a the blue circle appreas and the program "like freezes" and goes blur while the blue circle keeps going round in circles!

Honestly it sounds like a weird virus or maleware or something.  I have never heard of anything like this.  Maybe someone else has and can give you better advice.

The fact that you are experiencing the same problem in multiple torrent clients leads me to believe that is has nothing to do with any of the individual torrent clients.

Last night I scanned for malware and none was detected other than some toolbars. So my next step is going to be restore to factory settings or format my HDD and then download vuze again and see if that works. I do not know what else to do. I will let you know then if that worked.

Good Luck!
