Vuze Leap and 1.4.1 update
#1
Everytime I start Vuze Leap it tells me that an update to 1.4.1 is available. I click on install update but it just downloads and reinstalls 1.4 so I'm in a loop. I tried uninstalling and downloading form the website but this is also v 1.4. Any ideas?

Same here, londonmike.  I've "updated" to 1.4.1 five times now and keep getting the prompt to do it again.  Now I just hit cancel and Leap continues working, but it is somewhat annoying.

This keeps happening to me as well. I can't help but think it's a ruse to try and install all the stupid add on programs that come with Vuze now, hoping one of these "updates" everyone slips up and installs that crap. There isn't even an option to disable auto-updates as far as I can tell. I also tried a fresh uninstall/re-install to see if that helped, but I continue to receive the update messages multiple times a day. I will now be exploring other torrent clients

Vuze Leap is an awesome software. I fell in love with it since it was release especially due to it's simplicity, ease of use and more importantly lower memory footprint. The update failing to install is a really frustrating problem. And we can't even disable the update mechanism. Vuze Inc, when are you going to fix this issue?

for me it reinstalls 1.4 and then crashes, with a runtime error c++
do you think it will be better if you accept some of the optional crapware during installation??

I don't think accepting the bundleware crap will help with the install. I'm not even entirely convinced there IS a 1.4.1 update, I'm pretty sure it's just re-installing the same product over top of itself for another shot at adding that bloatware during the process. Can anybody recommend a low impact (with regards to resource use) torrent client like Vuze Leap? One that doesn't try and con me into installing a bunch of crap would be preferred. Thanks!
