For what it is worth I just downloaded it and installed it today .  . . so it is out at least for Mac OS X

However it just locks up everytime I try to start it . . . so my advice would be to wait a while before grabbing it! LOL

I had to increase the amount of Virtual memory . . . it works fine.

After upgrade. Vuze start download at full speed for a few minutes then speed start to drop siginificantly (from 3-4 Mbps to 20-50 Kbps). At first I suspected ISP throttle down my download speed but I tried the same torrent with uTorrent and it download with no problem. So I downgrade Vuze to 5.3.0.0 and the problem gone.

Normal here, all okay.

I have seen no such problems on my version of 5.4.0.0.  There are probably about 15 different reasons that your upload speed can drop dramatically which have nothing to do with your torrent client.  I would suggest that nothing is wrong.  It is just normal behavior.  I see torrent speeds go up and down all the time with all of the versions of Vuze I have used over the years.

I'm trying to update but receive an error message: 'Verification of Core Azuerus Version failed: Signature missing from file.

Anyone know how to fix this?

How about doing an over-install with the latest version from https://sourceforge.net/projects/azureus...Vuze_5400/  ?

Sorry for the delay in answering. Yes, that did the trick. Thanks.

Downloading this I noticed the the 64-bit version. Is there an easy way to transition to this?? Without losing ongoing torrents, stats, etc???

To use 64 bit version you need 64 bit of JRE. Usually when you uninstall Vuze. the user data will not be deleted. Just reinstall the 64 bit version and that's all. But if you're note sure. The user directory is here C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Azureus.

If not already done, go to: Options > Back-up & Restore and configure the settings on that page appropriate for your system. Ensure that your back-up location is not your "C" Drive and preferably a different HDD or USB that does not house your C drive. If configured properly which is childs play in reality, you will not lose any of your settings or files and restore is a breeze.  I have used this function many times since its inception and YES, I used it to transition to Vuze 64.

Am experiencing the exact same issue. I can confirm that downgrading to v5.3.0.0 tops my connection once again. I've been using Vuze for years.

VUZE 5.4.0 starts up about twice as fast as the previous version I have been using which was 4.8x .
I'm glad the controls are not changed to a different location and the interface is still clean and highly functional.

Good job Vuze, I will comment later when I have it working for a few days.
