I tried this but its not working T_T.
P.S i already had 64-bit version. so maybe it didnt work for me. Any other solution?

What didn't work?  Did the installer not finish?  Did you get the same error?  The only other thing I can think of is to restart your computer and then try the installer.  There may be some files locked that the installer just can't write to

it did finish. but vuze didnt launch. its not giving any error. also i restarted my pc too. vuze still didnt launch

hmm, try installing Vuze into a different directory.  On the first screen of the installer, check the "Customize" box, then on the next screen, change the Destination Directory to something different (Like, Vuze2 instead of Vuze)

Same here. Installing the 64-bit version worked though. Normal installation, but Vuze won't start afterwards. No error, nothing.

Uninstaller doesn't work either. Mhhh.

i cant even re-install to a different destination, it starts the Vuze installer but then when it finishes that it opens another popup which appears and then immediately dissappears again before i can read any of the information.

Thank you so much. That worked for me too. Clearly there is a bug but fortunately a workaround too! Also it had all my torrents and history recovered too. Thank you again

Installing to a new folder did not help. What did work was doing a custom install and change it to classic UI.

Vuze 5.6.0.0 (x64) - Vuze_5600_Installer64.exe
Java 7 (x64) Update 75 - tested
Java 8 (x64) Update 40 - currently running

However, on my other PC running 5.6 (x64) and Java 8u40, works just fine in modern UI. I did upgrade the java and vuze to the lastest versions and it still loads fine. :-/

I had the same problem: Vuze would not run after updating to 5.6.0.0 on Windows 8.1. There were no error messages during update of the programme. Subsequently, it was not possible to uninstall Vuze or to install Vuze to a different folder, as the install-window (in which you - among other things - would have the option to change the destination folder) never appeared when running the installer.

Here is the pretty simple solution that worked for me: Rename the folder "C:\Programs\Vuze" to "C:\Programs\Vuze (old)". Then run the installation. As soon as the first install-window appears, you can change the name of the folder back to the original name (via Windows Explorer), and continue with the installation/update. You can install/update to the original folder without problems, and you will not lose any torrents, settings or similar in this way. After this, the program runs without problems, at least for me.

I had the same problem too with this latest version. I tried various ways and still had trouble, even with 64 bit. Finally, I just renamed the existing Vuze folder, as mentioned above, and created a brand new install, clearing old configuration, and going back to classic UI. I don't know which of these things did it, but my guess would be that you could just clear the old configuration and install it without having to rename the existing folder. Seems be be working now.
