Security Warning Pop Up HELP!
#1
Hey Guys

I am having trouble with this pop up every time I start vuze even when I click it off it comes back. It's a security warning wanting to install a certificate, check out the screen shots, I have tried all sorts of things to get rid of it but with no luck.
This appears also on a couple of my mates PCs as well, wondering if anyone else has seen this and is there a way of stopping it popping up all the time.

Regards
woto

Check with the web site which is causing that certificate to be displayed.  I am assuming this is due to a faulty cert on the "secure" site you are getting your RSS feed(s) from.

Any way you slice it . . . this is not a Vuze problem.

That is a message generated because you are visiting  a secure http server with a bad security certificate.  Do you belong to a private torrent site which uses an secure connection to the tracker?????  If you are not sure ask on your private sites.

Unless there is something I am missing there is no way Vuze would be visiting a secure site on its own.  If it is I am sure one of the Vuze staffers will read this in the next day or so and be able to comment on that more intelligently than I.  LOL

I am a member of a private site but it doesn't mater where the torrent comes from it still pops up, I tried a different program and I don't get this warning popping up for some reason.
When I start vuze sometimes it clicks 2 or three times as tho it's trying to load something that's when the pop up comes up and there is nothing in vuze to load in.

I just do not know what to tell you I have exhausted my ideas LOL

You will have to wait for one of the Vuze staffers to respond or someone else who knows more than I

Try disabling the 'azpromo' plugin - Tools->Options->Plugins - uncheck 'load at startup' for the 'Promo View' plugin

it's killing the app for me. Probably just time to delete use.

It looks like a few of vuse's ads are causing issues with my norton. The security certificate is from:

https://x.vindicosuite.com/event... and it goes on from there.

Vindico is an ad serving company that the vuse guys, or their advertisers, must be partnering with. Vindico prides itself on being able to measure various analytics. I'm guessing that this is where the security issues are coming from.
