Vuze->Content->search for existing data files
Testing was done & it is fabulous. Its is recommended to give a lifetime free license to the originator/ ideator. Also to the Beta testers :) Almost 200 dead torrents have seeds now.
Once again Congrats to the admin/ developers. Great and revolutionary one!!!

Bugs:
1) Few Files from the searched HDD location are getting deleted & found in recycle bin.
2) There is no option currently for selecting multiple HDD folders or Drives.
3) It would be worth if multiple matching files are available, the best among them maybe selected for linking or Say if 1 of the multiple file in the HDD folder have 60% good data, another 40%; combine & make the data 100% by creating a new file in the torrent "download folder".
4) Content-> Move Data Files after doing the HDD file linking is leading to the linked file (Original) getting its location shifted)
The deletion of files from HDD I mentioned: I think this happens when already once linking is done. & we re-run again.
5) Another issue: When the linking completes, is there any message or indication saying it is completed? As of now Still on the heading it is shown as "Looking for files....)
6) Video files From DVD/ CD eg: *.vob, *.vobx standard video files are linked just seeing the size & can cause erroneous connection.
7) Can start time & end time added in the result / reporting sheet?
8) The original files in the HDD folder where pointed/ linked are getting deleted during relinking when the check for existing file is rerun on a different folder having same files.

6) Files aren't linked based purely on size - if one or more files match based on piece hashes then other files are considered based on exact size and name. Of course, in your case the name and size may well match. I'll add logic to exclude files that also failed a previous hash based match test that should help
7) Added
8) I'll take a look
thanks!

Can this be included?

2) There is no option currently for selecting multiple HDD folders or Drives.
3) It would be worth if multiple matching files are available, the best among them maybe selected for linking or Say if 1 of the multiple file in the HDD folder have 60% good data, another 40%; combine & make the data 100% by creating a new file in the torrent "download folder".
9) Can clear links be added to Main Window where we select multiple torrents.
10) Can Search for existing data files option added in Files Tab also?

11) Clear links occupying too much memory. Just 100 files required almost 500 MB memory!

When in Files Tab 100 files are selected for "Clear links" PC Memory used about 500 MB for doing that task.

Is it possible to address?:

2) There is no option currently for selecting multiple HDD folders or Drives.
3) It would be worth if multiple matching files are available, the best among them maybe selected for linking or Say if 1 of the multiple file in the HDD folder have 60% good data, another 40%; combine & make the data 100% by creating a new file in the torrent "download folder".
11) In some of the torrent files, links are not getting removed after neither through torrent "clear link" nor from file ""clear link".  The option is greyed out but still the link is shown in the File Tab (Path)

Regarding 2 - it is really a matter of having the time to design the user-interface required to allow multiple folders to be specified. Same for 3 really, it all gets complicated and there's a lot of other things to work on...

For 11 - are these 'simple torrents' - i.e. ones with a single file only? There are some special issues with these that made me exclude them.

Hi
It will be wonderful if following are implemented:
2) There is no option currently for selecting multiple HDD folders or Drives.
3) It would be worth if multiple matching files are available, the best among them maybe selected for linking or Say if 1 of the multiple file in the HDD folder have 60% good data, another 40%; combine & make the data 100% by creating a new file in the torrent "download folder".
9) Can clear links be added to Main Window where we select multiple torrents. (under advanced menu on Control tab)
10) Can Search for existing data files option added in Files Tab also so that a file can be searched for.
12) "Searching for Existing Files". Is it possible to have the box in options so that we can enter the max no of files to be searched. Currently limited by software to 500. (Ref: http://forum.vuze.com/Thread-V5-7-1-1-B22-Bugs).
