I long ago preferred the ScaneRSS plugin, however, with several rss feeders with cloudfare problem, I had to switch to RssFeed Scanner, which does not suffer from this problem, would it be possible to have any fixes in ScaneRSS regarding this?

I've used RSSFeed Scanner for years and years. It does what I want it to do. Can you explain what is the Cloudfare problem and what is it that the RSSFeed Scanner doesn't do that ScaneRSS does? Maybe I can help with configuring RSSFeed Scanner.

It is easier to use than RSSFeed Scanner, since you have a wizard to create rules using "regex".

Ah, OK. I'm pretty good with RegEx so have no problem with it. If you need help with it you could always ask here. I don't think it takes long to learn, and the RSSfeed Scanner has a "Test" window where you can click a button to see if your RegEx expression is correct for a particular torrent name.

The "Test" function never worked for me, maybe I never understood it. I always created rules that worked in practice, but that in the Test did not work. To create Regexes, I'm using an application called "Express" that makes it a little easier.

With an assistant (Pattern Assistant), just like you have in ScaneRSS, this would not be necessary.... :D

Well, there is quite a big help page in the RSSFeed Scanner plug-in, but I think the best advice that is given there - and the advice that I followed many years ago - is this: 'a Google search on "regular expressions" provides ample documentation for those wishing to learn.'

Also, once you learn how to use Regular Expressions, you will find that many other utilities allow their use, such as "Agent Ransack" which searches through the files specified for a text string you specify. Both the file names and text strings can be Regular Expressions which makes this utility incredibly powerful and useful.

Also the "Everything Search" utility will find instantly all files that match a search string that you specify, and that search string can be a Regular Expression.

Anyway, I hope you give it a go as I'm sure it will help you in the future.
