Samsung Streaming Conundrum
#17
Has anybody been able to work out what the issue is on this? VUZE was woking fine on my Samsung TV until 2 days ago when I did the update? Now as stated above it shows on my VUZE side bar but not on my TV?

Well bad news.... I installed 2 older versions of Vuse (5.6.00 & 5.6.1.2) and neither showed Vuse on my Samsung tv.
So it's obviously not the last Vuse update that was done.
It's strange though that there are a few of us now having this issue. I haven't changed any network settings (except maybe port forwarding) but I wouldn't think that would make a difference.

My Samsung tv has no software update and the IP address matches what Vuse sees.
Vuse still sees my tv but my tv doesn't show Vuse when I select source.

Open to suggestions......
If its a network issue, what might I need to change/check in my router?

I also have a Samsun T.V. which is a 9000, and I installed Vuze 5.7 yesterday for the first time.
And I downloaded 2 films, then I noticed in the side bar my T.V. and my W.D. T.V. displaying, then went to the T.V. and had the Vuze icon displaying in the hub.
Started it and the film played flawlessly. Also it played through the W.D. T.V. without a problem.
Perhaps try the update 5.7.0.0 and that might work.

Hi Plumber,

I had been using Vuse for years and it worked fine, then one day my 6000 series tv stopped seeing the Vuse Icon.
I'm currently running V 5.7 without success.

I'm completely stumped as to why Vuse can see my tv but my tv can't see Vuse any longer. It means copying content onto a USB stick and plugging it directly into my tv :(

I just noticed that when I right click on my tv in Vuse and go properties, it says "Last Seen - 12/5/15."
That is probably consistent with Vuse ceasing to work properly for me.

I have exactly the same problem - as of a few days ago. Also a Samsung Smart TV. Was streaming fine and now perpetually showing as 'offline'.
I tried deleting it and rediscovering it in the sidebar, but to no avail.
So this is clearly an issue with the latest Vuze update.

I have the same issue with a Sony Bravia KDL-40W5 that has streamed from Vuze for years.  Recently, I updated to Vuze 5.7 and Windows 10.  I suspected it was one of those or a combination of the two.  Now, Vuze shows connection to my TV and the Icon changes from gray to colored when the TV is turned on.  When I go into the menu, it shows the Vuze name, but no icon like used to come on when Vuze was turned on.

Also, when I hit the automatic play button (new in the top bar of the Device page?) I get a "Play Error  716: SetAVTransportURI failed" message pop-up.

When I try to "Cast to Device" using Windows Media Player, the TV momentarily stops playing and the screen goes black with a message that it is connecting.  Then, it simply stops and reports "Unexpected Device Error".

Any help you can give me to remedy this issue is appreciated.

Can anyone at Vuze help fix this problem?I've had a problem streaming to my Samsung TV's since late November 2015,the TV's don't see Vuze, but vuze shows Samsung devices.I've posted a separate thread, but nobody from Vuze answers back.Been using Vuze for years flawlessly, but since the update in November no more streaming to my TV's.I have to burn everything to dvd.

OMG OMG OMG..... My Vuse is working again! I haven't tried turning off or on so hopefully it stays fixed!
I think I know what the issue was!

FIX -
For me, it was when I got a VPN! That was around the time it stopped working.
The settings in Vuse changed so that it won't connect to torrents if the VPN is off. I went to

TOOLS>OPTIONS>CONNECTION>ADVANCED NETWORK SETTINGS.

Scroll down and uncheck "Enforce IP Bindings even when interfaces are not available etc etc"

I believe though, I am effectively rendering my VPN useless though.
This may or may not work for you but my Vuse is finally working again.
