RSS Feed Scanner: automatic reload delay
#1
It is entirely unclear what the "automatic reload delay" is supposed to do, nor are the time units specified anywhere that I have noticed.
Could someone please shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

Click Plugins-> RSSfeed Scanner, then click on "Status" tab.

Under the column "Status/Link" you will see the feeds being reloaded. The time in seconds between each feed being reloaded is what this option sets.

Some sites don't like you requesting the RSS feed too often, so the default is set to 900 (= 15 minutes) if I recall correctly.

I tend to set mine to 300 (5 minutes).

Thanks, Roger, very helpful.

Just one more thing I'm not sure on: when creating a new feed, the delay for that feed is set to 0. Does that mean use the global default? It makes no sense if it actually does mean 0 seconds delay -- that would surely freak out every tracker admin on the planet.

OK, never mind.. I got brave and enabled one lol.
0 means use the global value.
