Not downloading with VPN...
#1
I am having same issue as acouple of other people here are having. I use PIA VPN and have for quite ahole and have had Vuze for years. Today was first day I have had any issue. I tried downloading and it is showing red dot and connection error. I have twice re-downloaded my VPN amd talked to PIA about this and they worked through some troubleshooting with me  but it is still nto working.

Please help me figure out why I cannot download and only red dot is showing up. My VPN does and has always allowed torrenting so I know that is not the issue.

Thanks

Kevin

For PIA, there's a plugin that might help:

I had that already installed and it still does not work.

It says VPN has warnings. Could not forward Port.

Says UDP outbound failed. With some other stuff......

It worked this morning and worked for many many months but now all of a suddne I cannot download. Stays red.  Routjing stays red and says no connections. Just weird and random and not sure how to solve it

Thanks

No route to host. Send and recieve failed. HTTP outbound  TCP outbound and UDP outbound.

I do have a back up VPN Expressvpn. Hardly used it. But It would not connect either to Vuze, unless there is another way that I do not know. I opened it up and took off PIA and I am having same issue. When I try to go to advanced network, I do not understand the whole bind IP thing. I try and put something that is listed in the box and save but nothing happens.

I am usually pretty advanced at this but just confused to why PIA and Vuze do not connect as of today

Thanks again

It is definately something with Vuze. I turned off all VPN and tried downloading through regular wifi and still not working. It seems very odd that it just suddenly stopped working correctly after months and months of working perfectly.  I did find something interesting, the path to VPN hlper for PIA is blank at config. Says Path to PIA Manager and there is nothing there and won't let me put anything there either. Not sure if that is something or not. But yeah the routing stays red, says no connection and nothing downloads at all.

Just more info as we work through this.

I also find it weird that even my back up VPN ExpressVPN doesnt work on Vuze either.

Turning off your VPN won't make Vuze start downloading again if you have interface binding set.

Blank the field in yellow, and press save, then start a torrent and see if you get data.

I deleted what was in the box, left it blank and hit save. Then I tried downloading again and nope nothing. I went back in and the field had en1(0) back in the box, deleted it again hit save tried again and still nothing. Routing says no connections. I deleted what I was downlaoding, tried downloading again and still red, no routing connection, en1(0) still in binding box. deleted again hit save but it does not go away.

Again, why would this all work forever until yesterday?

Try uninstalling the "VPN Helper for PIA" plugin, restart Vuze, and clear that Binding field again. That should stop it from auto-filling, and allow you to use ExpressVPN (and in theory, PIA). The binding interface option is only an extra layer of security, so even with it blank, your VPN will be used providing it's turned on.

I uninstalled, rebooted, went to bind and deleted. It will not hold the delete when I save.

the NAT and Socks are acting weird too, blank. And still not connecting to routing. Red and red dot on download.

Under Tools Menu, select "Options..", then click "Plugins". There should be a list of plugins, find "vpnpia" or "VPN Helper for PIA" and select it. Click the Uninstall Selected. Another dialog should popup where you need to click "remove". I think you'll have to restart Vuze afterwards.
