No results to download
#1
I am a longtime VuzePlus user on a fully updated Mac. Suddenly, this morning, when I put the name of a tv show I like to watch into the Meta Search bar, it gives me no results. I checked that the show ran, and it did, but the Meta search returns absolutely no results of any of the show's previous episodes.

As nothing has changed on my computer, I am quite puzzled. I have re-started the computer, then deleted Vuze and re-installed it, all to no effect. There must be something fundamentally wrong. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? I cannot find a way to communicate with anyone at Vuze to troubleshoot the problem.

Any suggestions or help anyone may be able to offer would be gratefully received!

Pipp

P.S. My internet access is fine, the router is working, as is WiFi. I've noticed that the download arrow in the bottom right corner reads 0 B/s and the same holds true for the upload arrow.

I'm having this exact same problem. It happens with whatever I search for!

You refer to search using "meta-search"? If it is, to get more results, you have to add more templates to vuze, the program by default, comes with only two templates and these only offer legal content. In google you can find some templates for the Vuze with support for other sites that offer other content type (content pirate). Of course, these templates are not responsibility of their creators of the program, that is, if some of them work or fail to work, you must contact that created it.

So how would I go about adding templates? This has never been a problem previously.

It is worth remembering that Vuze is not responsible for maintaining, correcting third party templates. They may stop working for a number of reasons, such as: the template's website is offline, change in the site layout of the template in relation to the time when template was created, thus becoming outdated and ceasing to function and so on.

Lots of people are having this problem and the majority of us are not technical enough to sort it out. Although Vuze distances itself from third party templates  surely it can advise long time subscribers on how to correct this issue.

Agree. It seems strange that a lot of people seem to be having the same problem all of a sudden. A solution on how to fix would be greatly appreciated as already mentioned we are not all computer technically minded.

The problem is not in Vuze, yes in the templates, they stopped working because the source sites:

1 - They are out of thin air or there are no more or,
2 - They changed layout, code.

Nothing has changed in Vuze so that they stop working, they stopped working, because the templates have not been updated to the sites where they get the results. So of course if a site changes some of the elements I mentioned above, it will stop working for everyone who uses the template of the respective site.

If someone volunteers, read how to make a template here:  https://wiki.vuze.com/w/FAQ_Meta_Search

Now you ask why the vuze does not fix the templates that were created by other people? This is simple, Vuze is a company, it does not do it for the simple reason that it does not want to be prosecuted and convicted of piracy. So if you do a clean installation of Vuze, you'll see that the templates that come with the program are sites that only offer legalized content for the same reason.
