New Version?
#1
Forgive me if this seems trivial but I haven't been on Vuze for quite some time.  Today I go on to try to look up a movie and everything has changed!  I can't seem to find any movie I'm looking for.  Nothing looks or acts like it used to.  Even the actual program looks different under "content discovery".  Do I have a bad version?  I need help, can't seem to navigate this version.  How do I go back to the previous version?  Please help, thank you.

I haven't used the search function, but if you look at other forum topics you will see that others are also having issues with recent changes. If you want to compare to older versions I believe that the binaries you can find in the Azureus Sourceforge files page are official ones.

I did some research and I think that it has nothing to do with Vuze.  I read that KickassTorrents (who brought back many of the search options in Vuze) have been shut down?  This explains why hardly any movies show up when you search things in Vuze.  Have you heard this too?  Do any movies show up with you search in Vuze?  Or am I perhaps doing something incorrectly?

I don't think that you are doing anything wrong: the search results seem to be taken from a limited number of sources none of which likely match the domain you are interested in. Since I am not a user of this function I cannot comment on how to extend the scope of Vuze's searches or contribute my view on how things have changed.

Good luck with your quest. Cheers.

I think you'll find that since the addition of the "Mainline DHT" plugin significantly increasing the success of swarm discoveries, scraping torrent sites has become obsolete.

Since Spiggot sacked their main developer, these forums seem to rely on the goodwill of ONLY other users.  I suggest you UPGRADE to BiglyBT and enjoy what is essentially the same client with more features, without the bullshit and is in constant development by one of the original Azureus developers.  Plus, there are dedicated support chat channels built into the client and during the install process, you can easily migrate all of your Vuze/Azureus settings/statistics and torrents to the BiglyBT client.

I run over 3,000 torrents, so don't worry, the client will handle your torrents with ease and I had no problems with the migration of settings and torrents. It was all seamless. BBT looks the same as Vuze and it is legal because they (BiglyBT, Vuze, Bit-Tyrant, OneSwarm) are all based on Azureus under a GPL License.
