NAT Problems
#1
Hi all,
First time forum user, so I'm sorry if someone has already posted about this...
I've forwarded a port to vuze, and opened up my firewall to the application and port, and I'm still getting nat problems.
I'm using a proxy and have also disabled UPnP and NAT-PMP because I've ready and been told that they can be security risks.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

You've done pretty much everything there is to ensure that you get NAT issues :)

1) proxies don't generally support incoming connections (if you were using a VPN then the chances are higher but still no where near guaranteed)
2) if you weren't using a proxy, disabling UPnP and NAT-PMP removed Vuze's ability to perform port mappings on your behalf so you would need to manually configure your router

NAT issues will decrease download speeds for poorly-seeded torrents but in the case of well-seeded torrents don't tend to make a huge difference
