Memory overhead
#1
Since olden times of Azureus when memory was a rare commodity I've been leaving most torrents closed,
only opening them when downloaders are present.
I assumed this would reduce my memory overhead.
I'm still doing that, even though I'm running an i7 processor and 16Gb of ram - and the latest version of Vuze.
So my question: How much additional memory would be required to open, say, 3K torrents
instead of 300? Would there be a loss of performance - or any other downside?

Many thanks for reading and sharing your wisdom, expertise and thoughts
