Is it possible to give manual priority to seeding torrents?
#1
Hello
I'm seeding alot of torrents but i can only seed a few at a time, i configured 15 torrents to be active. Sometimes torrents with high seed ratio, more then 1, 2, 3 or more, continue to seed while other torrents with low ratio are on queue or are active but not uploading. The only solution i know is to manually stop high ratio torrents and active low ratio torrents.

What i want to ask is this: is there a configuration in vuze that allows the user to determine the priority of seeding torrents? I want to give priority to low ratio torrents.

Thank you!

I presume you have utilised the rules, from the menu: Options > Queue > Seeding > First Priority
By setting these up you have a measure of control of priority.
My experience is that, in spite of the rules, swarm strength seems to dictate the bandwidth used for a particular torrent.

I light of this, I have also reverted to manually controlling (pausing and restarting) torrents to allow the ones with a lower SR to gain some ground.

Of course you can have the torrent stopped automatically at a specified limit via the Automatic Seed Stop plug-in. But this sort of defeats the purpose of maximising the utility of the upload bandwidth.

Good luck!

I activate the super seed. Is it ok? Or should i deactivate it?

Super seeding is only of use if you are the ONLY seed in the swarm and there are lots of incomplete peers trying to download from you. Typically it is used when you are the creator of the torrent and want to get it initially seeded to others.

So it is unlikely that you want to enable it

Right-click on torrent, select 'Advanced' from the context menu. It has probably auto-deactivated by now anyway (it does this if it sees another seed)

Hello
thank you for your reply. i've done what you said. but i activated the super seed mode in the configuration menu, it's general, so it's still active. deactivating a single torrent's super seed won't deactivate the super seed mode. do you have any idea where the menu of the super seed is? i can't find it xD.
