Is Vuze a scam?

I subscribed to Vuze + one year ago, the code it sent did not work, nobody replied to my email for support and there is no number to call, I think it's scandalous that when people actually offer to pay for things, rather trying get it for free, are not respected. Anyone else had this problem?
