I have been Vuze user for more than 5 years. In last few days I get too much alert for "high CPU usage". I tried to update Vuze, but there were no new updates, then I joined to Beta and updated but problem did not gone. Then I uninstalled it and then install stable version, and discover that I got high cpu usage only when I'm downloading torrent. When I stop torrent, there is no problem.

I have other applications opened during downloading, but I had them before, too. I did not search for new plugins and installed them, I have only plugins that Vuze installed by him self
All your CPU usage seems to be attributed to the native (OS) UDP packet dispatching code. Previously such issues have been traced to inefficient anti-virus software that intercepts network traffic for analysis purposes. So you could try making Azureus.exe an exclusion and see if that helps (assuming you have AV!)

I have Zone Alarm Antivirus + Firewall. I did what you said, it's little better, but I still have problem. I also tried to shutdown entaire Zone Alarm, but in vain. While vuze is idle, CPU usage is 15% max. But while downloading Vuze goes up to 55% CPU, Azureus.exe process.
I attached entaire logs folder. I hope that will help.
EDIT:
I disabled plugins for uTP, Rating and Promo. Now Azureus.exe goes up to 25% CPU.
As a life-long (Azureus life) user. This i think is only my second gripe about Azureus/Vuze. I ventured back to this forum during a search for the change-log for all Vuze versions and saw this thread and just had to put my 2 bobs worth in!
I have been an Azureus user since day dot and have also experienced similar problems with high CPU usage in the past 12 months and I am running an 2600K i5 with 32GB DDR3 2100. Max Heap Memory is 2GB. Direct Memory is set at 1GB. I am also a ZA advocate (ultimate firewall control) and even when disabling ZA and Windows F/wall + Defender (i.e. no FW & AV), the problem is mitigated only slightly, but still occurs and Win Explorer becomes unusable. I have tried migrating from W7 to W10 and the problem actually increases in W10. I have tried running sessions on the PC where Vuze is the only app used and still, Windows Explorer gradually slows to an unusable stage. No browser activity, no F/wall & AV, nothing, just Vuze and eventually NOTHING is what I get from the OS.
I have tried running a plethora of systems tools over the OS seeking malware evidence, OS corruptions, App clashes. In the past, I have seen beneficial OS efficiencies by using CCleaner with many additional cleaning options selected and also wiping free space, however, to no avail in addressing this issue. The only thing that reduces the problem for me is when I use "Cyber-scrub" (application) to clean the OS, so Cyber-scrub is finding some accumulated logs or temp files (that other cleaners are not deleting) that are obviously associated with the use of VUZE. This process involves a re-boot and certain files (???) are deleted during the re-boot process, but when the OS is loaded, its use is like a brand new install, fast and no hangs, but after 6 hours of running only Vuze, it performs like an 8088!
I am wondering if this problem is associated with the monetization of VUZE via user telemetry.
While I am unable to pinpoint the exact Vuze version # that this problem surfaced on, I have currently resorted to v.5.7.0.0 and at this time of writing have accessed older versions of Vuze for installation and will continue to go backwards with version installs in an effort to find the version that does not cause this Win OS affliction.
But I am also hoping Parg/Tuxpaper will provide that magic bit of advice which will expedite the solution to this problem

I too am suffering the same with High CPU drain. I'll now go create a rule in Zonealarm also. But would be most interested in your findings / result when you get done hunting. It bugs me a lot to have this App consuming all system resource. Also I would be most grateful for any earlier versions you find which down exhibit this behaviour.

Would be really interested in whatever version of Vuze you can find that doesn't bog the system.

I will report back here if I find a version that doesn't have this affliction. Installed v5.6.1.2 last night and still slows the OS gradually. I also use Process Lasso and have priortized Vuze/Azureus to "Below Normal" and raised Win Explorer to "Above normal" (despite dialog warnings) and that has helped somewhat.
My rig downloads 24/7 and I hate sacrificing leeching time to do system maintenance, so it might take a couple of weeks or four to work my way thru the Vuze versions, however, I will come back, even if it is avise of a shift to client not written in Java.

Guys, you can go and be safe just with 5.7.2.0 version. According to observations problem with bottleneck and slowiness starting right from 5.7.3.0 version.

Would you have a URL for it please, nice and clean? There are so many places now bundling up older versions of software with their own rubbish as part of "The Service".

Yep same here as well a couple of times, but this version (For me at least) seems a great deal better than the latest version for sure. Happy to track this thread now for learnings sake also. I do have to re boot more often to not have lag issues for sure as a result of adding this app to the box, sadly.
