External HD new issue
#1
I am a longtime user of Vuze and my completed torrent data files are moved to an external HD. I have not used vuze for a couple of weeks and now that i open it up, my library showed none of my completed torrent data files were seeding and nothing downloading either.

I have not modified my settings. I do not think i am experiencing the 'ghost' external HD issue - that has happened to me before.

When I click on the file in the library to open it, it opens and plays fine.

I 'forced recheck' a lot of the data files and now they have moved into the active window of the library and are redownloading even though the data shows a 1GB file as having downloaded 1GB and was fine, now it's at 1.1GB of a 1GB file and showing 10% done. I don't want to redownload all of these torrent files as it will play havoc with my ratios.

I am running OSX 10.7.5 and Vuze 5.5.0.0

Any ideas?

I was going to suggest that your HD had mounted at a different location in /Volumes but it sounds as if you have that possibility covered....

You could try going to one of the downloads that plays back successfully (i.e. it would seem that the data file is in the location that Vuze expected) and then right-click on it and select 'open in finder' - just to verify that it is on the external HD where you would expect.

If you then force-recheck the download does it go back to seeding or exhibit the same issue as the others?

If the files really are where they should be and nothing has altered them in some way then I can't think of a cause of your problem :(

Thanks for the suggestion. I verified all the files that i could by showing them in finder and was able to force recheck about half which are now back in the downloading section of vuze. The other half vuze can find both the torrent and data file but the force recheck is greyed out, and there is a red emoticon next to these as well. Not sure how to fix.
