Dynamic IPS and UDP reset
#1
 Hello Parg,

Is there anyway to schedule Vuze to automatically shut down and then restart to establish a new viable UDP connection with an IPS that uses dynamic IP addresses?

I don't want my OS to reboot, just Vuze. This would not be a perfect solution but it would provide a way to automatically establish fresh UDP and TCP listen ports on a regular basis without my attention and thus be fully connectable, most of the time.

Many thanks.

Perhaps an app could be designed to facilitate this option for dynamic internet service providers.

It is more likely that your problems are to do with the IP address change itself, NOT the ports. You could use the built in Speed Limit Handler to periodically pause + resume your downloads, that should achieve the same as restarting Vuze

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes I understand that my ISP is providing new IP address at random and not messing with port selection but when my ISP does provide a new IP address the status of my UPD port is shown  on Tools\Nat Firewall Test  as timed out. I will try the speed limit handler and see what happens with the UDP listen port and report back.
Thanks again Parg
