Downloaded files corrupt or disappear
#1
Hey,

I have been using Vuze on a Windows machine for years. Everything was going fine. Now I have switched to a new Windows 7 machine. Installed everything and have been getting tv shows from eztv.it while tvtorrents is down. No problems.

After the last Windows update (could be coincident) I get 'Error: setLength fails, Not enough quota is available to process command'. So I downloaded a couple of files at work. Checked that they played ok. Come home and the files won't play. When I try to seed I get 'Error: Disk read error - read - file is closed'. When I use another laptop at home, it works!

By no means an expert torrenter but this has my head scratching. Any ideas?

Microsoft's response for "not enough quota is available to process this command" is: "Close some applications and try again.  If you still get this message, choose System from Control Panel, then choose Virtual Memory and increase the size of your paging file."

It may be that your "disk read error - read - file is closed" error in Azureus (i.e., Vuze) is addressed at:

As for not being able to play files on one computer that yet play on another, what are you using as your player?  This sounds more like a player issue than anything else.

Have you tried VLC?  IMHO, VLC is the best player out there.  For one, it doesn't need extra codecs.

You can get VLC at:
