Download starts then stops

Lately i`ve had a problem that the torrent starts downloading then 15 secs later it stops, then after 30-? secs it starts again. If the torrent DL at a low speed 1-200KB/s no problem whatsoever but as soon it as it starts at 1MB or more then this problem occurs every time. Any ideas of what to do would be appreciated. (I´ve used vuse/azureus for 10 years)

Are you saving the torrent data to a remote disk? If the disk write speed can't keep up with the download speed then eventually it backs up and blocks network download.
