As soon as my download speed clears 1mbps on any download, it immediately drops to <100kbps then slowly rises again and repeats the process. I have limited my download speed to 1mbps and the issue does not persist. It would be nice to take advantage of my fast speed. Any ideas?

Weird - usually this kind of behavior occurs because the writing to the disk is slow and ends up backing up the network traffic.
