DHT Running, but All Trackers Off-Line
#1
I've recently switched from utorrent to Vuze (v5.3.0.0) and have it bound to AirVPN.  I just noticed that my torrents (both downloads and seeds) are functioning, but only DHT is providing connections.  PEX has the most peers, but no seeds nor leechers.  All the trackers report, "Error:  Offline - No data received from tracker".  Speed is OK, but not great.  I can't tell for certain whether it's my issue or just slow peers.  Might I have something mis-configured?

How'd you go with this problem? Have you found a fix to this yet? I've been trying for weeks to resolve this problem.

Based upon what I've read elsewhere and AirVPN's response, tracker connectivity has little effect on download performance, but is rather most needed for initial seeding.  Watching my download activity, I've observed that some trackers do, indeed, connect, but most of them don't.  I guess that as long as I'm experiencing satisfactory download speed, I'll focus on more pressing issues.  I just wish I had a better appreciation for why so many trackers fail to connect.

This is a very complicated issue.  But with public torrents which have plenty of peers your ability to connect to the tracker has little meaning.  That is entirely true.

However, if you are on a private site . . . which has all of its torrents marked as private (thus disabling DHT and PEX on all of their torrents) . . . if you can not connect to the tracker you are never going to be able to upload or download anything!  Some private sites are not really private sites and actually encourage users to use DHT and PEX (demonoid is the best example of this) but most private trackers want all of their torrents marked as private torrents.  When that private flag is set DHT and PEX are automatically disabled for that torrent.  Unfortunately, there are a surprising amount of private torrent sites who do not automatically set the private flag on all .torrent files when they are uploaded.  So it can be very confusing.  But simply put any private site (with very very very very few exceptions) will not work for you if you can not connect to the tracker.

So as long as you all are exclusively using public sites you should not have a problem.  If you ever plan on going to private sites . . . you will need to figure out a solution.

Does anyone know how to fix this?!? I've been trying forever!!
this is what I get...
udp://open.demonii.com  1337 Error: Offline - No data received from tracker
it's only the one tracker but none of my downloads will connect to peers or seeds even though there are thousands of peers available :(
my other trackers are online and have peers but nothing is downloading, no peers connecting and it's my laptop and PC... I've tried everything, read endless amounts of forum posts and I have no answer or solution :(
