Clear Suggestions for Web Search in Content Discovery
#1
Hi

I would like to know how I can clear the suggestions that come up when I enter text into the field in the Yahoo! Web Search in the Content Discovery.

I wish to clear that drop down menu below the field at the top when you enter text for a search.

The reason for this is that I accidentally entered a password there, I was typing without looking at the screen and I thought I was in a different program in fact. So now the password turns up in this drop down menu.

I guess that Yahoo Search is appearing in a web browser built into Vuze however I can't see any way to clear that the suggestions in that drop down menu.

I am using a Mac with OS 10.11.6. I have Vuze 5.7.3.0.

Thank you.

Vuze uses Safari internally to render web pages such as the web search - you can probably open Safari directly and go to

http://search.yahoo.com/

then click the preferences icon far right (the cog)  and select 'Search History' from the drop down menu to configure/clear it

Thank you for your reply.

In Safari's preferences the cog icon on the far right is for "Advanced" and I don't see "Search History" there. I have cleared Safari's search history using the "Clear History…" command in the "History" menu but this has not made any difference.

I have noticed that with Yahoo! there is a cog icon at the far right at the top. That icon is not visible on the search page you suggested for me, but it is at some Yahoo!  pages. However this is only going to take me to preferences of some sort if I have a Yahoo! account. I don't think this list of search suggestions would be stored with Yahoo! in some way, I think that must be local.
