When searching vuze, legit torrents, subscriptions, and archive are only finding search results - which yields nothing! Extratorrents which was great was working but is no longer (messagee states that it is unable to connect) - so my vuze plus subscription is now basically worthless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Vuze Plus it has nothing to do with Extratorrent, the advantages of the Vuze Plus are: https://www.vuze.com/compare.php?lang=en_US
As the templates offered by third parties, they may stop working for numerous reasons, such as the air leave the site, change in address, change in the layout of the site, it is up to those who created these templates keep your maintenance, if there is interest.

I am no expert BY FAR but what it looks like to me is Vuze is not really being supported any longer. As + member I was running into the same issue & discovered it was all but impossable to gain any search results & looking at the available templets I had used in the past are VERY outdated & messing things up SO I reset to a standard vuze platform (no added torrent sites, just what vuze comes with). Then found some current torrent sites to search directly. They have magnet links & with one click they import into Vuze to download. This seems to be the way of the future.

Vuze is still being developed, what is not being updated are the templates for piracy sites, which are not created by Vuze, you can access the last beta in this link: http://dev.vuze.com
It is worth mentioning that Vuze is a company, and as such can not offer templates for sites that offer illegal content, but anyone can make a template for these sites and use them, Vuze does not and will not do so to not suffer Any judicial sanction. If you want to know how to make a template, you can consult the following link: https://wiki.vuze.com/w/FAQ_Meta_Search
That is, from the beginning Vuze never created a template for sites like piratebay, extratorrent, but other users, interested in having them in the meta-search that created at their own risk these templates, which as already has been spoken exhaustively in Other topics, stop working as sites go offline, change layout, address, and so on.
If you want a client that has something similar, I recommend Qbittorrent (Windows, Linux), which has this function, with several templates made by users and actively updated.

Thanks! can you give me some more info on th magnet links? What do they look like? I tried downloading directly from extratorrent but it would download to my computer then ask me to install an app.

Links Magnet on most websites are symbolized with a "magnet" icon, in case the extratorrent site is a blue magnet icon.

Thanks I read about Qbittorrent but was using vuze plus for the built in virus protection.
