Can't dl magnet torrents

I have been DL video files normally via a vpn connection until yesterday when all magnet links stopped working. Vuze is not connecting to the available peers but the search feature appears to be working normally. My system and test information:

MacBook Pro i7 16GB  OS X 10.9.5

Java 1.7.0_67 Oracle CorporationSWT v4508, cocoaMac OS X v10.9.5, x86_64V5.6.1.2/4 az3

DDB is disabled -> you've disabled the DHT for some reason (Tools->Options->Plugins->Distributed DB) - this can prevent magnets from working
