Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this.

I can see the Vivaldi tab in Azureus and I am interested in the network coordinates aspect of Vuze. But Vivaldi doesn't seem to be used for anything. I read http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Vivaldi_View

Does anybody know why it is not being used? Vivaldi seems pretty stable to me. Anybody has an idea on when it will be used for faster DHT lookups.

As a more general question: does anybody know of any application that is using a virtual positioning system (network coordinate system) such as Vivaldi?

Thank you,

-Eric

Vivaldi is used by Vuze in at least two places

1) DHT lookups are prioritised to an extent based on distance
2) DHT tracked torrents use derived tracking targets based on distance in an attempt to locate 'nearer' peers

Thanks for the reply.

Could you give a pointer as to where it is being used? For example, which method or class? at least somewhere where I could start looking?

Thank you.

Look for uses of DHTNetworkPositionManager

Thanks for the answer. I looked at the uses of DHTNetworkPositionManager and it helped. I do have two remaining questions.

1) Is Vuze using Pyxida (or Version2 Coordinates)?

2) What do you mean by "derived tracking targets" in "DHT tracked torrents use derived tracking targets based on distance in an attempt to locate 'nearer' peers"?

Thanks,

-Eric
