Romanian Translation

I have translated Vuze (Azureus) in romanian. The current translation is for Vuze 4.7.0.7. Click on the attachment with the desired version number in its name to download it.
The translation is available at the following address:

I have made 80% of the new translation from scratch. The remaining 20% is from the old translation, to which I have added diacritics and made some corrections.
The translation is also attached to this message.
P.S. : For the Vuze developers : Please add the new translation to the next build. Thanks.

Am tradus Vuze (Azureus) în română. Traducerea curentă e pentru Vuze 4.7.0.0. Clichează pe ataşamentul cu numărul versiunii dorite în numele său pentru a-l descărca.
Traducerea e disponibilă la adresa de mai sus.
Traducerea a fost făcută de la zero în proporţie de 80%. Restul de 20% provine din vechea traducere, la care am adăugat diacritice şi am făcut unele corecturi.
Traducerea este de asemenea ataşată la acest mesaj.

Thanks for the update! I've been wanting to create a forum so we can give better support to our translator community. Your post prompted me to actually get that done, and move the thread to the new forum. (The Non-English Support forum is an experiment to see if we can give better support to users who aren't as fluent in English and want to post questions in, and get help in, their native language.)

I wanted to ask you for a separate section of the forum, but you already did it. Great!
Nowadays it is essential for a software to have as many good translations as possible. Popularity goes hand in hand with ease of use and ease of understanding of the concepts and commands used by a software. And understanding is always better if the text strings from the menus and options are in the native language of the user.
So if Vuze wants to remain popular it has to be translated in as many languages as possible. The problem is that those that want to translate Vuze don't know how to do it. Now they have a forum where to discuss, which is a first step. But in order to have quick access to informations about how to do the translation, there must also be created specific pages on the Vuze Wiki and/or FAQ. And those pages must be linked from the main pages of the Wiki and FAQ.
I have written a short tutorial on how to translate Vuze. I have posted it on the How to Translate thread. It can be added to the wiki or FAQ. |

Thanks for including the updated translation (for 4.1.0.0). I have just attached a new one, for Vuze 4.1.0.4.
I do have a little request concerning the language file. In the toolbar there is a string of text named "View" with two options (two buttons above it). It is for switching the display of the list of torrents that are present in the "My Library" section. This button cannot be translated (i.e. the english "View" cannot be changed with the translated word). And also the two views (buttons) don't have tooltips, like the other buttons ("Share", Move Up", etc.). So it would be ideal if in the Vuze 4.2.0.0 version of the language file, this "View" could be translated and the two buttons above it could have translatable tooltips.

I'm sure you and all the other translators are going to be "thrilled" by this. :P
I put the "View" text hack in the latest snapshot. I used a hack to make "View" in centered between two buttons. 1/2 of the word is on the 1st button, right aligned, and the other 1/2 is on the 2nd button, left aligned. For this reason I didn't bother putting it into the translation file. Since this is more or less a permanent hack now, and since you requested being able to change it, I've put it in there.

Thanks, it works very well (of course, only with the latest snapshot and subsequent ones).
I do see a little problem for the translators, though.
They will not know what this "Vi" and "ew" strings are.
Maybe you could add a comment like:
"this is the Vi half from the name of the toolbar button View"
"this is the ew half from the name of the toolbar button View"
If it is not possible, you could add the above tips in the stickied thread "How to translate Vuze" or in the Translation Wiki.
