Hi all,

Recently I encountered an error "Error: Disk Read Thread: error - Direct buffer memory" frequently. Almost every 2~3 mins.

My Environment:

Atom Cpu + 2GB Ram
Ubuntu 9.04
IPV6 network( average download speed 2~3 MB /s)
Java 1.6.0_16
Sun Microsystems Inc.
SWT v3550, gtk
Linux v2.6.30-020630-generic, i386
V4.2.0.8 az2

Parameter:
-Xmx512m -server -XX:MaxDirectMemorySize=512m

When I use a slow network, this error never happened. I also set cache to 4xxMB and I/O R/W cache to 1024MB.
And I set the download destination folder to an folder in NTFS drive using mount command to mount during system boot.

I followed the instruction from Azureus to set MaxDirectMemorySize to 512m, but the error still occurs.

Anyone can help me solve the problem?

I/O R/W cache to 1024MB.
Um..wow. Yeah, that would not help a thing.

Your Atom just can't keep up.

I just reduce the I/O R/W cache to 384MB. The error still occurs........

Do you realize how huge that cache size is? I use 16MB on a 2Mbps line.
