Invalid filename prevents torrent being added to dl list?

The default filename of a torrent I'm interested in contains a colon, and as I am using a Winodws machine this is a no-no and Azureus throws up a 'destination directory not found' error. Although I can edit the name of the .torrent file to remove the colon before opening it, trying to remove/change the colons in the file itself obviously causes a hash error or similar when the torrent is validated by Azureus.

I can't seem to find a way to edit the filename, the 'change destination' option seems to allow editing of the filename, but whatever changes I make in the doalog don't seem to stick.

I know I'm probably missing something very obvious, but is there any way round this?

I can only think of one solution, although slightly complicated.
Download the .torrent file to your computer.
Open it using Notepad (or other plain-text editor - i.e. not Word).
In the top 10% of the file, you should see "name". It is followed by a number, a colon, then the filename.
The number indicates the length of the filename.
Delete the colon from the filename and subtract one from the number.
Save.
Open with Azureus.

I've done a cursory test of this, and it appears to work, although I can't be certain that this doesn't invalidate a hash in the file somewhere.

Give it a go. Good luck.

Thanks for taking the time to wade through the spam to answer my query :)

Unfortunately this didn't work. There were two instances of 'name' and the first seemed to match your description, but the second concerned some utf8 string and had a far larger number after it, followed again by the filename. I tried all combinations of colons and numbers but it would always error when I tried to open it.

No matter, I found a not-too dissimilar file to download. It was twice the size (not mp4) but otherwise pretty much the same.
