Port forwarding not working with Snow Leopard firewall enabled
Aug 30, 2009 11:14 AM
I am using the latest beta version of Vuze, and have come across this problem: port forwarding doesn't work when the Snow Leopard firewall is enabled, even when I set the firewall to allow incoming connections for the Vuze application. When I disable the firewall, port forwarding works (NAT button turns green). Perhaps this is already on the list of fixes for the 4210 beta?
My system specs:
SWT v3448, carbon
Mac OS X v10.6, i386
V188.8.131.52_B01 az2 (Classic UI)

What has that problem with Mac OS firewall to do with Vuze?
"Port forwarding" is configured in your router, and Show Leopard' software firewall is configured in OS. Vuze just listens for the traffic, which the router and firewall allow. There is nothing that be done in Vuze. So, to my understanding, there wont be anything new regarding that in the next Vuze version...
When I disable the firewall, port forwarding works (NAT button turns green).
It sounds like you need to re-check the correct settings regarding Show Leopard's firewall.
